Searching for unique activities? Join us at Burrinja Cultural Centre for this two hour workshop and learn to create a one-of-a-kind twining basket, using a combination of materials.

One of the techniques used in the age-old art of basket making – is twining. This workshop will cover the basics of using this technique to create small baskets. You will learn the simplicity and beauty of twining using bamboo or hemp cord and then you will be able to apply this technique to create your own sculptural objects. You will go home with your very own little twined basket.

This beginner-friendly class is the perfect introduction to basketry, with no prior experience needed. Anne will guide you through the basket-making process step by step, as you learn the twining technique.

Class size is limited to 12 people and a booking is essential.
